Reuven Ulmansky , Hebrew University Business School alumnus, started his career as an aeronautical engineer in the Israeli defense sector. However, after graduating with his MBA in 1988, Reuven decided to join the business side of the high-tech industry with particular focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. After many years in senior management positions at companies such as Intel and Koor Industries, he launched his own management consulting firm and was working with over a hundred kibbutzim and startups to analyze their investment feasibility prior to the war. As a dedicated educator, he also lectures at Ben Gurion University and at a nearby airbase, teaching business innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship.
As one of the original six MBA students who ensured the initial launch of HUBS’ mentoring program, it has been coming full circle to become a HUBS Aid mentor almost thirty-five years after his graduation. The HUBS Aid project of the Business School arose as an initiative to provide vital guidance and assistance to small and medium-sized businesses affected by the “Swords of Iron” operation. Through personalized support to each business owner, teams composed of three students and a mentor work closely together to enable development and growth even during these challenging times. Reuven and all mentors play a vital role in directing the teams and their businesses’ success.
For Reuven, his key philosophy has always been simple: talent over experience. Give that opportunity to a talented individual regardless of inexperience. That is the way to build innovation.
We thank Reuven and all HUBS Aid mentors for their invaluable role in developing society’s upcoming entrepreneurs.
