Dr. Michael Gofman
Michael Gofman is a senior lecturer in the Department of Finance at the Hebrew University Business School.
His areas of research are Financial Networks, Financial Intermediation, Financial Regulation, Production Networks, Trade Credit, Systemic Risk, Financial Stability, Payment Systems, Creative Destruction, and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Gofman has served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at University of Rochester and at the University of Wisconsin. He has published his works in the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies. He has won several prestigious grants including the OFR-NSF grant, the Sloan Foundation Grant, and the INET grant.
His research about artificial intelligence startups has been covered by the global press, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Inside Higher ED, Tencent News.
Michael Gofman has earned his Ph.D. in finance and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Gofman also holds M.A. in economics and M.Sc. in finance from the Tel Aviv University.
