Prof. Gur Mosheiov
Professor Gur Mosheiov is a Full Professor and the Charles I. Rosen Chair of Management at the School of Business Administration. He has served as the vice dean of the school of business, and for more than 20 years was the head of the MBA program.
He is an expert in Operations Research, and his main research area is production scheduling. His research has focused on the development and the analysis of exact algorithms and of heuristics. Additionally, he has contributed to other fields of combinatorial optimization such as routing, and to various applications of operation research.
He has taught for two years in The City University of NY (CUNY), and has served as a Visiting Professor at the Helsinki School of Economics, Columbia University, and EMBA for Finance, Taipe, Taiwan.
His research has been published in most top OR/OM journals, including Operations Research, Research Logistics, Computers and Operations Research, Operations Research Letters, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Networks, Production, Planning and Control, Management Science, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, Discrete Applied Mathematics, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Information Processing Letters, 4OR – A Quarterly Journal of Operations Research, Journal of Scheduling, Engineering Optimization, International Journal of Production Research, Optimization Letters, Naval Research Logistics, and Computers and Industrial Engineering.
He won the Rector Prize for Excellent Researcher and Milken Prize for "long standing excellence in teaching" from The Hebrew University. In 2020, he was included in the list published by Stanford University of the top 2% researchers in Operations Research.
Professor Mosheiov received his PhD in Management Science and Operations Research from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He holds an MA in Business Administration and Operations Research from The Hebrew University and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from The Hebrew University.
He teaches the courses Quantitative Models for Management, Intro to Statistics, Production Scheduling, and Dynamic Programming.
