Prof. Benzion Barlev
Ben-Zion Barlev is a Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University Business School. He majored in economics and statistics and holds a degree in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He earned his doctorate in economics, accounting, and finance from New York University (1970), and his CPA in Israel (1963).
Prof. Barlev served as a full-time faculty member of the Hebrew University Business School as a professor, until 2006, when he retired.
His research was in accounting, and he was the head of the Accounting Department at the Hebrew University.
Prof. Barlev lectured as a visiting professor many times in the US, was an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel, and chaired the Committee for Accounting and Auditing Rules in Cooperative Societies in Israel, 1996-2020.
