Prof. Yigal Newman
Prof. Yigal Newman is the head of the FinTech concentration at the Hebrew University Business School, where he teaches FinTech and Finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. Prof. Newman earned his Doctorate in Finance from Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technion.
Outside of Academae, Prof. Newman advised individuals and corporations on FinTech, capital markets, and asset management; he writes a weekly column about capital markets at "TheMarker" daily; and serves as a member of the investment committee of Israel's Sovereign Wealth Fund. Prof. Newman has 16 years of experience in US capital markets, where he served as a Chief Investment Officer of an $1B RIA, as a portfolio manager at a $13B hedge fund, and as a researcher at a large mutual fund complex.
