Accelerated MBA Track for Undergraduate Students Across All Faculties

Master’s Preparation: The Accelerated MBA Path

Are you looking to save valuable time and earn your Master’s degree within just one year of completing your undergraduate studies? The Hebrew University Business School’s Excellence Program is specifically designed for ambitious students across all disciplines who excel at multitasking and are ready to embrace a challenging academic load.

Through this track, you can secure your MBA (Master of Business Administration) just one year after finishing your Bachelor’s degree.

The Master’s Preparation program allows you to complete foundational courses, core requirements, and select advanced MBA coursework concurrently with your undergraduate degree, regardless of your primary faculty. The Master’s degree consists of a total of 48 academic credits.

Program Structure

To earn the degree, students must complete 48 credits structured as follows:

  • Two Foundational Courses: Mathematics and Statistics. (Note: These are required prerequisites and do not count toward the 48-credit degree total).
  • Core Requirements: Introductory courses covering various fields of business management — 24 credits.
  • Advanced Master’s Courses: Required courses for your chosen specialization(s), seminars, and electives — at least 24 credits.
  • Don’t Forget: Start planning your internship as early as your second year to ensure you complete the necessary core prerequisites and can begin your internship requirements by your third year.
  • Note: Some faculties allow foundational courses to be recognized as part of your undergraduate credit total. Please verify this with your home faculty.

Program Structure and Timeline

  • Years 1 & 2: You may complete foundational and core requirement courses.
  • Advanced Enrollment: If you maintain the required GPA by the end of your second year (based on your cumulative undergraduate average, excluding Business School courses unless they are part of your primary degree), you may begin taking advanced Master’s courses (specialization requirements, electives, and seminars), provided you meet the prerequisites.
  • Flexibility: You are not required to finish all core courses within the first two years. You may take them alongside advanced courses in your third or fourth year. However, completing prerequisites by the end of year two is recommended if you wish to start your specialization in year three.
  • Graduation: The MBA is awarded one year (or more) after the completion of your Bachelor’s degree. Both degrees cannot be conferred in the same academic year.

Course Registration

  • Scheduling: When building your schedule, carefully review the prerequisites and notes listed in the University Year-Book for each course and specialization.
  • Law Students: Since Law degrees typically span three and a half years and both degrees cannot be completed in the same year, you must leave at least one MBA course for your fifth year of study.
  • Academic Advising: For personal guidance, please contact our academic advisor, Noa Naim.

To maintain eligibility, you must take at least one MBA-track course per year starting from your second year of undergraduate study.

  • Core requirements: 60 (even if you have been approved for substitute courses).
How can I get exemptions for courses taken during my Bachelor's?

Exemptions are granted based on equivalent courses. You can find the detailed Exemption Table here.

What is the cost of the program?

There is no "membership fee" for the track. You only pay for the credits you register for. For exact rates, please contact the Tuition Department.

How do I join?

Email the Business School Secretariat at acmba@savion.huji.ac.il. They will add the accelerated track to the registration system.

How do I "save" my credits for the Master’s degree?

When the registration system opens, add your chosen courses. The system will ask if you wish to "store" these credits for a Master’s degree. If this prompt does not appear during the approval stage, contact the Business School Secretariat to ensure the credits are correctly categorized.

How many courses should I register for?

We recommend taking no more than 2–3 courses during your first year. This is a period of adjustment to university life, and it can be difficult to gauge your total workload. You may also wait until the second semester or even your second year to begin the track. Every student is encouraged to progress at their own pace.
