Q&A
- Is the GMAT required for admission?
-
Students pursuing a Master’s degree outside of this program are required to take the GMAT. However, as part of the Alpha Track, if you complete your undergraduate degree with the required GPA, you will be admitted to the MBA without the GMAT.
- Is registration for the program mandatory?
-
Registration is not mandatory, and you may withdraw at any time. If you leave the program, you will be charged tuition only for the specific courses you have taken.
- What are the required passing scores?
-
- Foundation Courses (Math/Statistics): 60.
- Core Mandatory Courses: 70 (even if alternative courses were approved).
- How can I get an exemption for courses taken in my undergraduate degree?
-
Refer to the Exemption Table on the Business School website to see equivalent courses.
- How much does the program cost?
-
There is no fee for "program membership." You pay for the courses in which you enroll. While completing your undergraduate degree, you pay the standard undergraduate rate. Once you are officially accepted to the Master’s degree and transfer your accumulated credits, the university will charge the remaining balance for graduate tuition. For exact rates, refer to the Tuition section.
- I have decided to join. How do I start?
-
Email the Business School Secretariat (hubs@savion.huji.ac.il) and they will add the track to the registration system for you.
- How do I "save" courses for the Master's degree?
-
When the registration system opens, add the track courses. The system will ask whether to save the courses for your Master’s degree. If the system does not prompt you during the curriculum approval stage, contact the MBA Secretariat to ensure they are recorded correctly.
- How many courses should I enroll in initially?
-
In the first year of the track, we recommend prioritizing the required courses for your chosen specialization so that you can complete the degree within one year of finishing your Bachelor’s.
Alpha Track for Accountants
For students pursuing a dual bachelor's degree in Accounting that is not combined with Business Administration.
This track is intended for outstanding students who wish to complete an MBA within four years of starting their university studies. You can receive your MBA within one year (or more) of completing your Bachelor’s degree. It is not possible to complete both degrees in the same calendar year.
Program Structure (Total: 48 Credits)
-
Basic Mandatory Courses: 12 credits (Introductions to various fields of Business Administration).
-
Advanced Master's Courses: At least 36 credits (Specialization courses, seminars, and electives).
Exemptions for Accounting Students: Because several undergraduate accounting courses overlap with the MBA curriculum, you will be exempt from: Introduction to Accounting, Introduction to Finance, Data and Technology in Business, and Micro Business Economics.
Note on Behavioral Sciences: Because you complete “Fundamentals of Behavioral Sciences” (55102) in your first year, you cannot take the graduate-level "mix" course. You must complete the undergraduate course and have its weight applied toward your Master's degree. Other courses (Marketing, Quantitative Models, Business Strategy) are taken alongside regular graduate students.
Specialization Recommendation: Due to credit exemptions, we recommend taking two specializations or selecting the Financial Management for Accountants extended specialization.
Building Your Schedule
Pay close attention to notes and prerequisites in the university yearbook for each course and specialization. If you encounter scheduling overlaps, please contact an advisor for potential solutions.
