Congratulations to Professor Renana Peres, Head of the Marketing Department and Head of the IMBA Program on being awarded the Mifal HaPais Landau Prizes for Arts and Sciences in yesterday’s ceremony.
Professor Peres was awarded the prize in recognition of her leadership of the HUBS Aid Project, the groundbreaking innovation that assisted with the rehabilitation of businesses struggling due to the war.
The HUBS Aid Project focused on small and medium-size businesses affected by the Irons Swords war by providing assistance whether regarding property damage or offering financial and emotional support. Each business was guided by a dedicated team comprising a mentor – an established industry expert – and three students. Together, they developed a tailored business and marketing plan, and provided ongoing support to their respective business throughout the process.
“There’s a debate in the world: what is the strongest natural substance? Chemists will tell you “helium,” biologists will say “cobwebs,” and for poets, “love.” I research social interactions, and I am able to tell you that the strongest material is social connection. The relationships, friendships, and even the small actions of each person in the field s/he excels in most – those are what create durability, flexibility, and resilience that can withstand even the most severe blows” (excerpt from Professor Peres’ speech).
THe Hebrew University Business School congratulates Professor Peres on this outstanding achievement and on her inspiring innovation!
