Our Students Describe their Experience

Dan Kaplansky, Peking University, China

Studying in Beijing was a life-changing period for me, first and foremost personally, but undoubtedly also professionally and academically.

As someone who has traveled the world a lot, I can testify that the experience of living in a foreign cultural place like China is unique. The language, the customs, the food, the huge variety of people you meet and the immersion into the daily life of Beijing, was wonderful. Professionally, I progressed and was exposed to the vast possibilities that China offers, and the academic experience was also exceptional. The lecturers at Peking University are top notch. Some of them are lecturers at leading universities in the US and some are prominent figures in the business world.

Sivan Mazuz, McGill University , Canada

I enjoyed every moment and gained experience that definitely builds my future in the business world.

From the moment I arrived at McGill University I learned a lot. I met people from all over the world, learned about many cultures, and participated in many special events. Israelis have the opportunity to change perceptions in all kinds of fields, and we serve as a kind of ambassadors of the country on campuses abroad.

Pinina Or,  TSINGHUA , Beijing, China

In three words - challenging but an amazing experience: signing an apartment contract and opening a bank account with Google Translate (because few Chinese know English) was definitely challenging, but nevertheless, I had a unique experience."

Panina Or flew to China, Beijing, in the first semester of 2018, when she is in the second year of her graduate degree in business administration. "I flew with two girlfriends from school and we lived together in a shared apartment. The biggest challenge for me was the language, and at the same time, as soon as I was able to overcome the obstacle, I had an unparalleled sense of achievement. I met people from all over the world, with whom I am still in touch on LinkedIn and social networks; some of them have already Entrepreneurs, heads of projects, owners of start-ups or businesses... During Operation Shumer Chomat, I even received several messages from those who were interested in my peace and invited me to their country."

Panina says that the studies in Beijing were at a very high professional level, and it took her a while to get used to the different study method, which mainly included presentations. In addition to the extensive knowledge she acquired at the reputable Chinese school, Panina says that she acquired business English thanks to the student exchange, and the tools she received there benefited her later in her graduate and qualified degree in Israel, in business administration.
