Simha and Shlomo Gershon The Fintech Center of the Hebrew University was established in 2018 at the School of Business Administration on Mount Scopus by the entrepreneur Professor David Gershon, named after his parents, Simha and Shlomo Gershon. The center aims to create an ecosystem for the fintech industry in Israel, including startups, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and investors. The center promotes entrepreneurship, the use of advanced technologies such as machine learning and big data analytics, strategic thinking, and market penetration methods. As a non-profit independent body, the center facilitates connections between startups and technology-needing companies, operates a mentoring program for entrepreneurs to receive guidance from experienced entrepreneurs, and provides access to experts from academia across various fields.
